Funniest thing I have seen in a while...

Check out what you can buy on Ebay these days...

List of Single Men in Phnom Penh

This is so hilarious. It was the topic for many a conversation around the pool at Elsewhere... Where are the eligible boys? Well this enterprising person has proof they do indeed exist and you can buy the proof. The auction closes today (22 Jan) and the price is currently the low, low price of $1.25.

Melbourne and stuff.

Work up today feeling completly blurrggh for no reason whatsoever. Not sure what is the cause, but hey... some days are better than others. Maybe it is because I have had a week off from work and I am about to head back tomorrow.

An example of good days is a recent trip to see my one of my best friends on this planet Andrew and his girlfriend Anthea. I received relationship advice a while ago (5:30am, Handspan office, Tamarind Cafe in Hanoi, Vietnam) from the last person I would ever expect to get relationship advice from who said that you should only ever grant the status of "best friend" to your current partner. While I agree that Mark is indeed my best friend, I have other best friends who fill other roles in my life.

Andrew is one of these. I miss him like crazy when he is not around so I treasure the moments we get together when he is in the same country as me.

Here is the lasting image I have of Andrew (with Anthea) from our latest catch up doing his best "goat face" impression - al-la Miss Bec.

Mr Benoy - you better keep up your blog so we know where you are and what you are up to. Your present will be in the mail soon - well... as soon as I get it. It is still lost in the US postal service enroute to Australia.

Another pic of my life at the moment - here is a pic of Max the Wonder Cat hugging his rat doll.

Max the Wonder Cat

Meet Max the Wonder Cat. He is a new addition to our family - we adopted him this morning from the RSPCA. Max is 10 months old and a bit of a softy. He loves his cuddles.

The only downside is that my allergies seem to extend to cats - something I was unaware of. So we will need to work on an allergy management process for me.

Bookcrossing.com

Today I found my first free book through Bookcrossing.com. It was a copy of an Australian teen novel called "Breakaway" by Phil Cummings. It doesn't look like my cup of tea, but I will give it a go.

I couldn't have found it at a better time. I was cleaning out over the weekend and I have a box of books that were destined for the needy bins. I think they deserve to be circultated through the world and released. Keep an eye out for a released book everywhere you go.

Funny thing I found on the weekend.

I found this note while going through a few boxes of my past over the weekend. It was left on my bedroom door in 1996 by my flatmate at the time - Claire. The funny thing is I finally saw the movie last Friday night and I found this on Saturday. So Claire - I have finally seen this movie, 10 years after you wrote me this note.
